Swim Noir
When Jeneane, the owner/designer of Manta Collection approached me about doing a swim shoot she had a very clear vision for what she wanted. She described her collection as “swim noir” and wanted a Harpers Bazaar/Vogue editorial story.
Swim noir generally refers to a design aesthetic that merges traditional swimwear with dramatic elements of film noir.
We decided to focus of heavy shadows and light play for the look and feel of the photos. The location where we shot the editorial was at a vintage Miami Beach motel. We also incorporated some unique underwater shots.

Minimal but dynamic.

We stayed at this beautiful off grid Airbnb on the Atlantic coast of the island. They private beach was just unreal. This side of the island boasts massive rock cliffs. Another reason Eluethera is one of my favorite islands, it has vastly different landscapes than what you imagine the Bahamas has.

I love the feel of painterly feel of the underwater shots. It gives the collection a different and ethereal feel.
